This helps you see whether higher-ranked ideas have historically performed well, and whether the model was better than the benchmark.

Start date The first date to begin testing. End date The last date to include in the test. Universe Which maintained universe to test against.

How often to refresh the picks Monthly refreshes more often. Quarterly changes less often. How long to hold each batch 1 means hold until the next rebalance cycle. Compare against Used to judge whether the strategy added value. Ranking scope Sector ranking works well for broad indices; global tends to suit smaller universes like S&P 400.
